3x3 Illustration Annual Call for Entries
First Call: 3x3 Illustration Annual Call for Entries
It's that time of year again and as you'll notice we have several new categories in this year's competition. Children's books has its own category and includes both published and unpublished work; and new categories that include animation and works done specifically for gallery exhibitions and a new spot illustration category.
Once again we've assembled a distinguished panel of judges that include Kit Hinrichs, Pentagram; Time Magazine art director and illustrator Edel Rodriguez; Golf for Women art director Kayoko Suzuki-Lange; Canadian ad agency graphic designer Paul Hodgson; Wired Magazine art director Jeremy Lacroix; and illustrators Olaf Hajek, Germany and Kenneth Andersson, Sweden
Children's Books
For the new children’s book category we’re pleased to have editor Christiane Germain, L’Ecole des Loisirs, Paris; editorial director for Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers Paula Wiseman; Dutton Children’s Books art director Sara Reynolds and illustrators Guido Pigni, Italy and Adam McCauley and Jaime Zollars, USA.
Animation
For the animation category we have animators & illustrators Mario Cavalli, Dave McKean and Run Wrake, United Kingdom; Oscar Grillo, Argentina and Eric Goldberg, USA.
Entry fees are still low, and as always the winners will be reproduced in our handsome annual which gets bigger by the year. And this year’s winners will be featured for one year on our new online gallery, 3x3Gallery.com, which will be promoted to art directors—both advertising and editorial, art buyers and graphic designers in the U.S. Full details and entry forms are available online at www.3x3mag.com/callforentries.html.
All entries must be postmarked no later than March 23, 2007.
